Privacy
Golden Hive Honey is a one-person honey business in Pleasanton, California. This page explains what we collect on goldenhivehoney.org and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Reservations: your name, phone number or Instagram handle, email (if you give it), pickup or drop-off city, and anything you add like a honeycomb name, gift note or invite code.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep the payment status and amount.
- Sign-in: if you sign in with Google or an email link, we receive your email address and, from Google, your name.
- Notes: the note you write and the name you choose to show (or none). Notes are only public after we approve them.
- Wholesale inquiries: the business name, city and contact details you send.
- Abuse protection: a one-way hash of your IP address, kept for up to a day, to rate-limit forms.
How we use it
To hold and fulfill your jar, confirm timing by DM or email, run the Bring a Bee referral program, and keep records the business needs. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t run ads or third-party tracking on this site.
Who processes it for us
Supabase (database and sign-in), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), Google (if you choose Google sign-in) and Resend (order emails). Each only processes data to provide their service.
Public information
If you buy a Founding Bee jar and choose to show a name, that name appears on your cell in the public honeycomb. Approved notes show the name you entered, or “Anonymous”.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time by DM to @goldenhives.honey. California residents have these rights under the CCPA; we don’t sell or share personal information as defined there.
Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie when you log in and, if you arrive with an invite link, a cookie that remembers the invite code for 30 days. Nothing else.
