Pre-order terms

These terms cover reservations and chip-ins made on goldenhivehoney.org with Golden Hive Honey, Pleasanton, California.

Reservations are pre-orders

Reserving holds numbered jars from Batch 001 for you. Jar numbers are assigned in order and can’t be swapped. An unpaid reservation is held for 48 hours, then released.

Ready-by date

Batch 001 is set to be ready by December 15, 2026. If that date slips, we tell you first, give you a new date, and you can cancel for a full refund.

Refunds

Cancel any reservation before your jar is handed over and we refund you in full within 7 days, to your original payment method. No store credit.

Pickup and drop-off, California only

Jars are picked up in Pleasanton or dropped off around the San Francisco Bay Area at no extra cost. We don’t ship, and we can’t sell outside California.

Honey Share and Founding Bee

A Honey Share is paid once for four jars across the year, starting with your Batch 001 jar. Skip a season any time and that jar is refunded. Founding Bee perks (the founder jar price through 2027 and first call on new batches) belong to the person who bought it.

Bring a bee

When three different friends reserve and pay with your invite code, we refund your jar or give you a free one. Your own orders, chip-ins and cancelled or refunded orders don’t count, and each friend counts once.

Chip-ins

A chip-in is support for a small business. It isn’t a charity donation and isn’t tax-deductible, and it doesn’t buy a jar.

About raw honey

Raw honey crystallizes naturally; that isn’t spoilage. Don’t give honey of any kind to children under 12 months old.
